Q: I have never taken a yoga lesson before, how should I dress?
A: Wear light and comfortable athletic wear—heavier in winter and a little lighter in the summer. Also bring a pair of soft socks that is comfortable to wear. This is ideal for certain relaxation poses.
For a therapy session or discussion on consciousness, wear comfortable every-day clothes.

Q: Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?
A: You are welcome to bring your own mat, although Lou has a number of mats that you are welcome to use as well. All materials are thoroughly cleaned after each session.

Q: I have a conflict--can I cancel an appointment?
A: Yes—there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. Please contact Lou directly.

Q: Are there any rules or policies in the yoga studio?
A: To ensure that things go smoothly, please arrive on time, turn off your mobile phone, and take off your shoes when you enter the studio.

Q: How long does a session last?
A: Sessions last 90 minutes.

Q: Where can I park?
A: Lou has private parking available for clients. You are able to park at any time of day.

Q: How many times per week should I practice yoga?
A: Frequency of sessions depends on your amount of free time, on your objectives, and your needs. One session per week is better than nothing and unlocks real well being and relaxation. The ideal cadence is two sessions per week. Self-discipline and personal motivation are important.

Q: Are there any risks with yoga?
A: Certain postures in yoga are not recommended or inaccessible for those suffering from hip problems, spinal problems, or epilepsy. Women who are pregnant will be oriented toward a prenatal yoga to benefit from more specific posture exercises. Lastly, for those that have undergone surgery within the past six months, yoga is strongly discouraged. If you have any doubts whatsoever, please consult with your doctor.
